Cyber Technology delegation from Israel visits Worcestershire
Over 10 representatives from cyber technology businesses from Israel have visited Worcestershire, as part of an inward investment mission.
The Israeli businesses met with some of Cyber Valley’s most recognised and innovative companies as part of a three day trade mission, which took place on 20-22 March. The delegation began with a visit to the Malvern Hills Science Park where representatives from BetaDen, Midlands Cyber and the Invest in Worcestershire team discussed the unique investment opportunities that the county boasts for cyber businesses.
The Israeli delegation then visited one of Worcestershire’s world-renowned manufacturing businesses based in Worcester before meeting with experts from the University of Worcester. The delegation consisted of owners and founders from fast growing tech culture including Encryptyou, Idmap, Nuweba, Ovsecure, Larch Networks, VulnOs.
Stuart Emmerson, Inward Investment Manager for Worcestershire LEP, said: “We were delighted to welcome a number of thriving businesses from Israel, and I think the delegation highlights the growing attraction of locating a business in Worcestershire. Companies around the world are recognising Worcestershire as the capital of connectivity, with a growing reputation at the forefront of technological innovation.”
Linda Smith, Chief Executive of BetaDen, said: “It was a unique opportunity to demonstrate and showcase to our delegation of Israeli businesses the vibrant and innovative business environment that we are developing here in Worcestershire. This is a great example of the connections that the county has built with ambitious clusters around the globe and we will continue to strengthen these relationships with the purpose of boosting inward investment and export opportunities.”
